OUR MISSION.
Bienestar is Well-Being has a mission of addressing hunger and food insecurity in underserved communities throughout California by providing sustainable access to healthy and nutritious food to those in need.
We partner with a large number of local organizations to ensure that the food distributions that we facilitate are accessible to the communities we are serving. We also partner with regional wholesalers who are able to provide us with a vast amount and large variety of high-quality food. The goal is to ensure that everyone in the community has equal access to healthy food, regardless of their financial situation.
Not only do we provide food, we aim to address the root causes of hunger, such as poverty, unemployment, and lack of access to healthy food options. By connecting with the most vulnerable members of the community, there is also the opportunity to connect them with other resources and services as well, such as job training, health & financial education, health care referrals, and support to help people move out of poverty and into sustainable livelihoods and build better lives for themselves and their families.
Overall, our mission is to provide both immediate and long-term support to individuals and families facing food insecurity, and to work towards creating a world where everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food.
